What Is Indiana Education Scholarship Account (ESA)?

Indiana's Education Scholarship Account is designed specifically for K-12 students with disabilities and their siblings — not a universal program. Award amounts are based on the student's level of disability and school corporation, with students receiving 90% of what the state would have spent on their public school enrollment.

Eligibility note: This program requires an active Indiana IEP, SP, or CSEP — it is not open to general-education students. Siblings of eligible students may also qualify. The 2026–27 application runs March 1 – September 1, with a priority window of March 1 – April 15.
